A VOIP Phone system replaces your traditional telephony system. Instead of traditional physical phone lines connected from the exchange to your building, VOIP utilises “virtual” trunk lines to the VOIP provider. With a traditional phone line, you are limited by the number of physical lines available and can only operate one call per line. With a VOIP system, you can have any number of trunks and any number of concurrent calls on each line. You are only limited by the quality of your internet connection.
